Things I Suck At..

Welcome to the Things I suck at tag! Where do I begin?

Smokey Eyes: Me and smokey eyes just don't get along. I've tried and tried to master the perfect look but somehow it never turns out looking anywhere near what I wanted it to. I tend to stick to a brown eye if I attempt it because I know for a fact that if I tried it with black and grey I would end up looking like a goth.

Eyeliner: I can't  apply eyeliner, like, it is a physical block for my brain and hand to be able to work together to create a nice line. If I ever try it ends up looking like a 4 year old has done it with a crayon. I think it is something I will just have to accept that I will never be able to rock on a regular basis.

Lipstick on my Teeth: I have braces so wearing lipstick has become a little hit and miss. It seems like any time I attempt to wear it my braces decided they want in on the colour action and decide to get covered in it. It is so annoying as I used to love wearing pretty pinks and nudes daily. Another reason why getting these metal nightmares off will be great!

Taking My Makeup Off: I think everyone sucks at this, unless you have some seriously strict routines or OCD. I am useless at removing my make up. Some nights I even think to myself "Oh, I should probably take my make up off... Actually, I'm just going to fall asleep right now.." then I wake up annoyed when my skin is oily or broken out because of my negligence! Need to get it sorted and take it off, I've only got myself to blame!

Holly Jolly Christmas Tag!

1. What are you doing for Christmas this year?
This year I'm going to be spending most of Christmas day in the car travelling from my boyfriends house to my grandmas house to see her and my daddy then from there I am going to my mums house to see her then we are going to my aunties house for some food and to see the rest of my family then back to my boyfriends for an afternoon of fun and love! yay!
2. What's your favourite holiday drink?
Either a costa hot chocolate with marshmallows or mint for warmth or, a new discovery, marks and spencer raspberry and cranberry juice. yummy in my tummy!
3. Candy cane or Gingerbread men?
I'm not a massive fan of gingerbread so I'm going to say candy cane!
4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
Can't beat a bit of 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' by Mariah Carey, never fails to put a smile on my face!
5. Have you ever made a snowman?
YES! me and my best friend once made a 5ft snowman in my back garden, it was amazing! Complete with stick arms, carrot nose, stone buttons, plant pot hat and a pink fluffy scarf.
6. Favourite winter fragrance?
This may sound strange but I love the smell of tinsel, fake christmas trees and advent calendars, they just mean Christmas to me.. weird.
7. Favourite Christmas Movie?
I love all the santa clause movies. I own them all and will watch them all before Christmas.
8. Are you on the naughty list or nice list?
Obviously the nice list, I am nothing but nice..

In England we don't do Christmas card photos so I don't actually have one, sorry!
10. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I think it may have actually snowed on Christmas day last year, that was nice. No chance of that this year though!

At home with my loved ones :)
12. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Not unless I'm seeing a family member who wants us too.

I'm going to be honest and say no. I could just google it and type it in but lets be honest Rudolph is the only one anyone cares about
14. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
Eating so much food!

It's fake, I'm sorry!
16. Hands down, What is your all-time favourite holiday food and sweet treat?
Is it just me or does the Christmas dinner always taste amazing compared to a normal roast? Can't be doing Christmas without cadbury's festive friends! 
17. Be honest, do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better? 
I'm really excited to give everyone their presents this year, especially my boyfriends cause he's been trying to guess what they are for the last few weeks.

I only wish I owned a Christmas jumper! 
19. What would be your dream place to visit for the holidays?
I like to be at home around around family and my boyfriend so going away would mean I wasn't with them
20. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?
Normally I would bake some Christmas themed cookies but I haven't had the time this year :(

I like to think I'm a pro, my mum likes to think otherwise.

Every year seems to be as memorable as the next, I always have such a nice time over Christmas
23. What made you realise the truth about santa?
That would be my mum telling me the truth about him on Christmas day.. Along the lines of "Do you know who got you all of these presents?" "Santa" "No, me and your daddy did" </childhood> 
24. Do you make new years resolutions and stick to them?
I attempt to but I to be honest I don't even remember the resolutions I made this year, woops!
25. What makes the holiday's special for you?
Being around everyone I love and getting to spend some time with them. I like how happy and fun everything is over Christmas

8 Autumn Loves TAG

1. Favourite Autumn Nail Polish: 
Essie's 'A List', it is the perfect wine red shade which seems to be a massive trend this season.

2. Favourite Autumn Blush: 
Vivo at tesco's 'Cinnamon Glow' its like a glowing golden rose shade which gives such a nice autumnal colour to the cheeks. It is my Go-To product from Autumn all the way to spring.

3. Favourite Autumn Eyeshadow: 
It's got to be a combination of MAC's 'Golden Flurry' with 'Soft Brown' in the corner.

4. Favourite Autumn Clothing Item: 
Got to be my new leather jacket, it has pretty much become my staple item this season.

5. Favourite Autumn Jewellery Item: 
I don't really wear a tonne of jewellery so I'm going to say a scarf as my favourite accessory.

6. Favourite Autumn Lipstick/Lipgloss:
MAC's 'Boybait' for lipgloss and another MAC product 'Creme Cup' for lipstick. My go to nudes!

7. Favourite Autumn Perfume:
My current favourite perfume that I am wearing all the time which is Victoria Secrets PINK with a splash in 'Sweet & Flirty' it smells amazing!

8. Favourite Autumn Miscellaneous Item: 
Ooh, urm.. I'm going to say big knit jumpers! They are so perfect for throwing on over the top of leggings for lazy days inside when its not so nice outside.

1. What is the thing you most look forward to about autumn?
I am really looking forward to it getting a little bit chilly outside because I have someone to snuggle up with and keep me warm!

1. Favourite Halloween Movie?

Probably got to be the classic Disney movie that gets shown every year on the Disney channel, 'Hocus Pocus' I mean, who hasn't seen and who doesn't love that movie!? Answer, everyone loves it.

2. What Age Did You Stop Trick-or-Treating?

I think the last time I went I was about 12 or 13, after that I kind of just grew out of it and didn't involve myself in many thing halloween related. 

3. Favourite Halloween Costume You Have Worn?

When I was really young my mum made me the classic bin bag witch costume which I wore proudly around the house for days along with a little plastic hat. That costume forever sticks in my mind as a hilarious memory.

4. What Are You Going To Be This Year?

I am not dressing up this year

5. Do You Like Going To Haunted Attractions? 

Urm, No! I am a complete wuss when it comes to anything remotely scary, we're talking wont even go on the haunted mansion ride at disneyland kinda wuss..

I'm going to say non-sparkly more manly vampire diaries style vampires.

7. Favourite Halloween Sweets?

I'm not really fussy when it comes to sweets so anything is fine with me.

Not a thing, my mum is more the less obvious it is that we are in the less we will be disturbed all evening. Bah Humbug?

I dressed up as a devil once and it came with this horrible mask that my parents forced me to wear all night, most uncomfortable thing ever plus I didn't look cute like I wanted to..

I dressed up like a cat like two years running, Miss Original over here!

11. Do You Believe In Ghosts?

I have no idea, all I know is that every time I go to the cemetery to visit my grandads grave it is freezing cold no matter what time of year, perhaps its spirits walking around? hmm..

I never really had a 'scary' halloween, awkward..

Properly for about 4 years.

A raspberry ripple scented lipgloss from the natural collection in boots.

Bourjois 123 foundation

I had a lot of natural collection and rimmel london

MAC, Rimmel (still) Urban decay
6. How would you describe your make up 'style'?
Very natural, nothing heavy.
7. What is your everyday make up like?

8. What is your 'going out' make up like?
Pretty much the same as my everyday make up but with some lipstick and deeper eyeshadows

I'd say my every day look as that is pretty much me all the time.

I had some seriously slug like eyebrows until I was like 16.. awks
11. What is the worst beauty crime you're proud to have not committed?
I have to agree with Candice's answer, the orange foundation and lack of blending around the jaw line, not attractive

bright coloured eyeshadows, talk about a wash out!

Thick black eyeliner that goes up to your eyebrows, just no.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty!

1. GREED - What is your most INEXPENSIVE item, What is you most EXPENSIVE?  

My most inexpensive item is probably the MUA pallets that I own, £4 for a good quality 12 shade pallet is a massive bargain. I'd say my most expensive is probably going to be my completed MAC pallet, by the time that's full up it will be over £100 worth of product.. Wow that sounds a little crazy when I think about it like that!

2. WRATH - What products do you have a love/hate relationship with, What products have been hardest to get?

I have constant love/hate relationships with foundations. One month I am like "oh my god, this is the best foundation I have ever used" then a few months later I am like "wow, I hate this, time to get a new one" then I will rediscover it and love it again! I find it quite hard to get some OPI nail varnishes as they aren't as widely available in the UK as they are in the US, I love them! 

3. GLUTTONY - What are your most delicious beauty products?

I have a deep pink lipstick from Topshop which smells and tastes like the pink jelly beans, sometimes I use it just because it is so delicious! 

4. SLOTH - What product do you neglect due to laziness?

I am forever ditching eyeshadow and lip products in my everyday make up routine, I really want to start wearing them more but if I'm in a rush I will easily just leave them and do the bare minimum. 

5. PRIDE - What beauty product gives you the most confidence? 

This one is easy, foundation. I hate my skin with a passion so being able to cover it up and almost having flawless skin, even if it is a little fake. It helps to give me some confidence, I don't often go out without make up on.

6 - LUST - What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

I am a sucker for some beautiful eyes, an adorable smile and some sexy biceps! Yep, definitely describing my boyfriend right now! 

7 - ENVY - What items would you like to receive as a gift? 

Some MAC shadows, a clarisonic and liz earle cleanse and polish.. thanks! ;)

My Makeup Story TAG

I've seen a few people doing this tag for a while now so I figured why not jump on the band wagon!? Plus its a fun little thing to do to fill the little lack of blog inspiration I'm having today.

1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup?

I think I was in year 9 or 10 when I started wearing makeup properly, like a full face of makeup, that was when I started getting spots :(

2. How did you get into makeup?

My bestfriend is actually to blame for this, she started wearing makeup before me and always did really pretty looks. She told me to buy an eyeliner and that's how it all started

3. What are some of your favourite brands?

I have actually done a post on this which you can see here but I'd say Rimmel, MAC and MUA.

4. What does makeup mean to you?

It's an everyday essential, if I'm going out, but I think its really fun to sit at my makeup table in the morning and make myself look pretty.

5. If you could only wear four products on your face what would they be?

17 foundation, Rimmel setting powder, NYX 'peach' blush and urban decay setting spray. I was going to say mascara but I guess that's for your eyes right?

6. What is your favourite thing about makeup?

I can cover up all the parts of my skin that I'm not a massive fan of. 

7. What do you think about drugstore vs high end makeup?

I actually own more drugstore makeup products than high end because you get similar quality products for a much lower price, therefore you can buy more however I am a fan of MAC, can't go wrong with the brand.

8. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?

Find the right shade of foundation first before you start on anything else. Also, Less is More! 

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood?

Wearing bright eyeshadows, I'm talking neons. Fine for your nails, not great on the lids.

10. What do you think about the beauty community on youtube and blogger?

I'm not part of the youtube community but I have found that the blogger community is one of the nicest I have been part of. Everyone is so lovely to each other and I am hoping I get to meet a lot of the bloggers I have got closer to soon!

11 Things About Me

1. I quit school when I was in year 12 because it was not for me

2. I am studying sports science at college now, much better

3. I love sleeping but always go to be really late

4. My feet have shrunk, I used to be a size 5 however recently only size 4s will fit me

5. I am the shortest member of my family despite being the middle child

6. I'm not a massive fan of clubbing, sticky floors, drunk people and being out at 2am, I should be asleep!

7. Speaking of drunk people, they scare me, honestly they freak me out

8. I still look 15 despite being nearly 19, I am always scared of being pulled over by the police because they think I'm too young to drive.

How Much Does Your Face Cost?

Evening!Today's TAG post comes from Zara who tagged me in her version of this tag earlier on today. When I first red the title I was a bit like "this sounds like an interesting post!" The concept of this post is to add up the cost of the products you use on your face every day and the result will tell you how much your face costs! I currently have a few websites open ti try and give accurate costs..So here we go!

Beauty Blogger TAG

Today is the first day off TAG Friday! This weeks TAG is the Beauty Blogger one, I hope you enjoy! 

1.What are your favourite type of blogposts to write?

I really like reviewing products that I have discovered myself, especially when they are at 'drugstore' prices and a decent standard.

2.What are your favourite blogs to read?

I follow mostly fashion and beauty blogs because I have developed a huge love for them. Every person I follow are the owners of some of the best blogs out there!

3.How did u pick your user name?

I have been using 'itscharr' for a long time on twitter so I figured I would just use it on here. It's my blog so I figured its charr is quite fitting.

4. Which beauty blogger is your inspiration? 

I think everyone loves Zoe from Zoella. Her blog is incredible and her photography is amazing too. 

5.Name one tip you learned through another beauty blogger?

Picture quality, really matters! 

6.What made you make a blog? 

My parents are going through the adoption process and I had searched the internet for a birth child's view on the process but I found hardly anything so I figured I could start a blog and write down my experiences. I found out the waiting time between each milestone is long so I added a bit of fashion and beauty into it. 

7.Do you have a favourite blogpost of yours?

I was really proud of my Urban Decay Dupes post. I put a lot of effort into the comparison and finding the dupes. I guess that would be my favourite.

8.Name one pro and one con of being a beauty blogger?

A Pro is that the beauty blogging community is so freaking lovely! I can't really think of a Con right now.. 

9.What advice would would you give someone dealing with hate?

Don't retaliate to it, just remove it completely from your blog.

10. How long does it take you to write a blogpost?

Depends on the blogpost I guess, it could be anywhere from half an hour to and hour and a half. 

11. What other blogs apart from beauty do you like to read ?

I follow a couple of photography and adoption blogs too.

12.Who have you made friends with through blogging?

I have a few people that I talk to away from the blog world. I think anyone I have talked to more than once on here is like a friend!

13. How do you get the ideas for blogposts?

Shopping, mostly. I get inspiration from some youtube gurus too.

I am currently writing this post at 11:10PM on Sunday night. This week is a very busy week so I am pre writing a couple of posts.
