First off, I must apologise again as this post was promised last week but I had no time to actually plan and get all the pictures taken. But it is here, finally!
I have had the MUA pallets for a good 2 months now and they are literally my go to pallets for any occasion and here is why..
I have all six of the 12 colour pallets from MUA. They are priced at £4 each, cheap and cheerful! As you might be able to tell from the swatches above, they are pretty pigmented for a product costing £4. There is literally every colour you would ever need for absolutely any occasion. You get 72, amazing quality colours for the price of about two or three Mac single shadows (approx. £24) crazy!
Heaven + Earth:
Heaven and Earth is probably my most used out of the six. It contains 12 very neutral browns and creams and is always thought to be a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Pallet at a fraction of its £35 price tag! See HERE for my take on that.
If you are going to purchase any of these pallets, make sure its this one! You will not regret it!
PRETTY PASTELS: (You may need to tilt your screen to see the swatches) This is another one of my favourite pallets. Theses are another 12 of seriously wearable colours, especially in those summer months when you love to wear a bit of pretty colour on those lids! My favourites are the pinks and peaches because they go so well together.
DUSK TIL DAWN: There are definitely a range of colours in hear to take you from those more natural browns and light dusty greys for during the working hours and those slightly more vibrant colours for those nights out on the town!
STARRY NIGHT: This one reminds me of Christmas nights. It has pretty blues, greys and even a pink all with beautiful glitters. It makes me feel all sparkly just like Christmas is! (This pallet will be featured in my christmas giveaway coming up very soon!)
POPTASTIC: Possibly THE most fun pallet I have ever owned. Unfortunately I haven't had the right occasion to use it but it will come. This pallet is full of 12 of the brightest shades of eyeshadow I have ever seen. You never know when you might need them!
GLITTER BALL: Personally I don't think there is an excessive amount of glitter in this compared to say 'Starry Night.' This is another pallet that is totally wearable day and night with its mixes of neutrals and colours. I really like this pallet!
So basically, MUA pallets are amazing! You could literally buy all of these and be set for life's many occasions. Heaven & Earth and Pretty Pastels are definitely my favourites of the six! 6 pallets full of 12 beautifully pigmented colours ideal for anyone just starting out and even the most professional of make up artists. Get down to your local superdrug (or get online) and buy! buy! buy!

Make Up Storage!
The little poll I had going on the side of my blog is now finished and there was a tie between a make up storage post and a make up collection post so I figured I will do both. This week I am going to show you where I keep my make up and next Tuesday I will show you what's in it. Plan!
So this is my little make up area. I got the little trolley thing from Ikea for £25! It's meant to be used in the kitchen but personally I think it works pretty well as a make up storage area. I also got the little fold up chair from Ikea too for about £9, which hangs nicely on the side of the trolley! I have to use a cushion as the chair is a bit low but I just tuck that underneath during the day.
On the top I have:
A mirror, a pot of hair brushes, Urban Decay de slick spray, a clock because I am always running late, so I like to see how late I'm going to be whilst doing my make up! In the silver swirly pot I have my older make up brushes that I mostly use as travel ones. The pink pot in the back has my Sigma brushes in and the purple pot at the front has all of my "everyday" brushes in it.
On the side of the trolley there is a drawer. On one side of the drawer I have my everyday make up products, brush wipes, make up wipes and cleaning wipes to clean the top if I drop anything on it. In the other side I have some combs, hair clips, empty pots for foundation/primer and make up sponges.
On the middle shelf I have my nail varnish collection in the white tray, also in that tray is some make up remover in the clear bottle which I use with the cotton pads in the pot to take the make up off my hand from stippling my foundation. In the back is a letter holder with my MUA pallets, ELF pallet and my Naked pallet. In the shiny silver pot I have some hair bands and bobby pins.
Finally, at the bottom I have two sets of plastic drawers which contains my make up collection!
I don't really want to go into too much detail as they will be shown properly next week. I got the pink 4 drawer from Morrisons for £5 and the silver 3 drawer from Tesco for £7 (yeah, work that one out. Tesco = rip off)
Hope this post has helped anyone who was thinking about a way to store their make up! If you have any questions please let me know in the comments!

I'm Getting Braces!
A few years ago I went to my first orthodontist appointment, who was recommended by my dentist, he took one look at my teeth and told me that the treatment would be cosmetic and that he would not cover them under the NHS so I should go somewhere else if I wanted them done through the NHS. Safe to say, we did not return.
Last year I visited another orthodontist who had a better look at my teeth, took a mould of them and took an x-ray. He decided that I did need braces but once again, my teeth weren't bad enough to be covered by the NHS which I wasn't too bothered about. The only braces that were offered to me were those brightly coloured beaded ones that everyone had when they are about 12-16. Slightly lame at 18.. We were told that they would be in contact when they had the moulds sent back and a treatment plan written up. It took them forever to get back to us, must have been a good three or four months so I gave up waiting during that time.
A few months ago I saw a video on Meganheartsmakeup vlog channel on youtube about an orthodontic treatment called Invisalign. I did some research on Invisalign and found out that it is a clear, removable, brace that you change every two weeks which helps to straighten your teeth in the same way the typical metal brace does. Since I saw them I had my heart set on them. I loved that they were practically invisible and could be taken out. I looked for local orthodontists that supplied Invisalign and contacted them for an appointment. Last week I went for my 90 minute assessment (if you follow me on twitter, you may have seen that tweet.) During that time my orthodontist had a long chat with me about what I want from the treatment and how perfect I want my teeth. I told him that I wasn't looking for A* Celebrity looking teeth but for them just to be a bit neater and straighter (I have overcrowding) He took some pictures of my teeth by making me pull my mouth apart with some plastic rods, it hurt a lot, so much that my mouth went numb! This was followed by an X-ray which showed my wisdom teeth right near the top of my gums (ahh!) The outcome of the assessment was that Invisalign was probably not the best option for me as they would straighten my teeth but will cause them to stick out up to 6mm! My next option was a ceramic brace with a white wire and transparent beads which I will wear for about 9 months, have taken off, have two of my teeth on the top row taken out and then have the brace put back on. After 18 months I will have a super thin metal wire retainer fitted at the back of my teeth on the top and bottom which will be on for the rest of my life. I will also have to wear the plastic retainers for 2 nights a week for the rest of my life (chore!)
I'm not sure I'm completely ready to become a metal mouth but if I don't do it now my teeth will only get worse. My parents are still having to pay for them (oops!)
Have any of you had braces before, Please feel free to give me some advice on what not to eat or what I should carry with me at all times or help with pain, anything!

November Glossybox!
The theme for this months box was "5 products to try before you buy (whether for yourself of others - Part 1" On first impressions, this isn't a great box. I mean, I could be wrong because I haven't tried out any of the products yet but just looking at them the only thing that really appeals is the nail wraps. However, I could be proved wrong.
This months box contained a mix of products which is nice but I am slightly bored of these constant perfume samples! I haven't really liked any of them so it would be nice for them to be swapped out for a nail varnish or some make up items in the future.
This month I got:
- Arbonne Ultra Hydrating Hand crème - £19.00 for a full size
- Dead Sea Spa Magik Delicate Boosting Mask - £8.80 for a full size
- Illamasqua Freak Eau De Parfum - £59.00 for a full size
- Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps - £6.65 for a pack
- Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, pre shampoo treatment - £52.10(!!) for a full size
I will put up a review in a couple of weeks when I have had the chance to try them all out properly!
What do you think of the products?

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review
I just want to start of by saying me and Batiste have a serious love, hate relationship. I always tend to find one product that I absolutely adore because it works so well but then there is always something that doesn't. This pair is no different.
Now most girls own or have owned some dry shampoo for those days where your hair is looking a little greasy and needs that little pick me up. Batiste is a range that I normally reach for when I am in need of a new dry shampoo but this time, like all the others, I managed to pick up on version that I love and one version that I hate.
Starting with the bad. When I first saw that Batiste had brought out another new version I was quite excited to try it out especially when it claims to give you 'Big and bouncy XXL volume.' I have honestly never been so disappointed in a product. I hate when your hair gets a bit greasy it is so lifeless so when I saw this I thought brilliant, this could be useful. The first, and only, time I used it my hair was anything but 'Big and bouncy' and there was not even a hint of 'XXL volume.' My hair looked and felt like straw! It was horrible. My hair looked worse with the use of this dry shampoo then it did before hand. I have pushed this product to the back of my hair products, never to be used again.
Now every cloud has a silver lining and the dry shampoo with a hint of colour for 'Medium and Brunette' is that silver lining for batiste. Unlike the XXL volume version this on does not make my hair feel like straw! (Hooray!) I love the fact it has a hint of colour, especially as I have dark hair, because it doesn't leave that whiteness in your hair like a normal dry shampoo, it just completely blends in with a darker hair colour. Another thing is that if you spray on small parts of your hair at the roots and massage it in slightly it gives you some volume without even claiming to do it, Bonus! They also have a 'hint of colour' for blonde hair and for red/ginger hair too I believe so I recommend it to you all!
If you have tried the Batiste range then let me know what you think in the comments

Hello lovelies! Just a little update to let you know that I have added a new poll on the left hand side of my blog. Feel free to look at the options and let me know which one you would most like to see me post about soon.
Also, I have a 50 followers giveaway currently running so if you would like to have a look at it and enter then go ahead and click right here!
I have a MUA review heading your way either tomorrow or Wednesday so keep your eyes peeled for that, if you are interested. I'm also feeling the need to do a little bit of shopping on Wednesday as I'm running out of some of my every day make up items so I might even do a haul. Very un-organised this week and busy with college work so posts may be limited but I will try my hardest!

Haul - Shopping with my Mumma!
On Monday I went to the local shopping centre with my mum to do some Christmas and winter clothes shopping. We both decided that we were bored of ignoring the same old clothes and chucked them out ready to be replaced. I did actually buy a fair bit but the majority of it was Christmas presents so I can't really post pictures of them because the people may see them (sorry Matt! haha).
Here are the the non clothing items that I picked up on Monday:
In WHSmith I got a pink polka dot folder for my assignment work. £1.99
A pretty purple letter holder for my eyeshadow pallets. £2.49
A pretty purple pen holder for a few of my brushes. £1.99
The only reason I bought the letter holder and pot was because they matched and were on sale!
In superdrug they are having a 3 for 2 on all Christmas gifts so I chose two gifts for friends and then spotted some 'The Only Way Is Essex' products so just for fun (and because it was free) I picked up the pack of three lipglosses, they aren't bad colours but I haven't actually tired them out yet. I also got the Kleenex facial cloths which are sooo soft! they were £1.99. I found the cheapest make up remover I could, it was 96p for those odd times that I need it.
Clothing Items:
Despite being on a mission to buy at least a wardrobes full of new clothes I only actually got three items and they were all from debenhams.
The first is a Henry Holland sheer short sleeved blouse £25.00
From the redherring section I found a sheer cream and black lace blouse with quarter length sleeves. I have wanted one of those tops for a very long time so I was happy to finally get it! £27
Of course with the winter weather you always need some chunky knits so that was top on the list. I got a long cream cardigan which was £32
On another note:
Does anyone remember having these when you were younger? My mum had bought a couple as stocking fillers for our friends children and I may or may not have stolen the Disney Princess from 'Tangled' (Repunzel) from her and a pack of sweets, meaning she had to go out and buy another set. I couldn't help myself, the sweets are so yummy and 'Tangled' is my new favourite Disney film.
Are you ready for Christmas?

Urban Decay Naked Pallet Dupes for £8!!
I know that everyone raves about how amazing the Naked Pallet is and I agree it is but not everyone can fork out the £35 it costs to own it. I'm sure I'm not the first person to talk about some dupes for it but I wanted to let you guys know how you can get the 12 Naked Pallet colours and some more for only £8! Yes, that's right, under a tenner! Here's how..
I'm sure you've all seen this pallet before:
From the Heaven & Earth pallet I used shade 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,11,12. For the shade 'Hustle' I used a mixture of shade 5 from Heavent & Earth and shade 11 from Starry Night.
I only used two colours from the Starry Night pallet which were shade 3 and shade 6. Obviously I only used a selection of the 2 pallets so for under £10 you get some seriously close dupes as well as around 14 other colours for you to use any other time!
I hope you found this useful if you've been looking around for something similar. If you could move the colours around to have the 12 dupes in one pallet that would be even better! Please don't steal my pictures, I worked hard on this post for you girls.
While I was writing this post I saw the Coke advert, Christmas is officially here! Yaay! :)

I'm sure you've all seen this pallet before:
I based my research on the company MUA: Make Up Academy, from superdrug, which offer a 12 colour pallet for only £4. I finally managed to get the Heaven and Earth Pallet by MUA after trying for months and as soon as I got it I was like "This is perfectttt!" so I teamed it with the Starry Night Pallet by MUA to create my dupes. You keen mathematicians may be thinking "but that's 24 colours!" Yes, it is but I shall show you which colours I used to create the Naked Pallet!
Please excuse my trampy writing I wanted to get it finished before 11pm! So in the left hand column is all of the Naked Pallet shades and on the right the MUA pallet shades I used. You are probably looking at the MUA side like "What is shade 1,2,3 ectt" Fear not! Here are some useful, I hope, labelled pictures.. From the Heaven & Earth pallet I used shade 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,11,12. For the shade 'Hustle' I used a mixture of shade 5 from Heavent & Earth and shade 11 from Starry Night.

Top Tips Part Three: Acne!
First off I must apologise for not getting this post up sooner! I started this little mini series a while back but a few other posts took priority over this final part of the series, so here it is..
If you're a teenager you've probably experienced some form, may it be mild or not, of acne! Personally, I got it bad, still have it a fair amount, not as bad however (see here for full story)
Here are my Top 5 tips for helping Acne prone skin
1. Everyone changes out products in their skincare routine at some point but if you change to something that seems to break you out, STOP using it! Don't assume your skin will "get used to it" sometimes it does but sometimes you are just making things worse
2. This one goes without saying really, Take your make up off EVERY night! Let your skin breathe at night.
3. Don't cake on your make up just to cover up the spots. Use some foundation and concealer to cover as much as you can then deal with it. If you cake it on you are just clogging up your pores!
4. If you aren't doing anything during the day, don't wear make up. Give your skin a break from being covered up. Trust me, even a day helps.
5. If your skin is really bad and you're finding that you are loosing confidence because of the way your skin looks then seek medical advice. Go to your doctor, trust me, they will be able to give you some medication to clear it right up!
Hope this helps those of you who need it

Chicago Haul
I was struggling a bit with blog ideas today so I thought I might show you what I picked up while I was in Chicago last month with my boyfriend. (picture heavy post)
Mine and Matt's purchases by the end of the week.
Before we left I ordered the 'Make Me Blush' Sigma brush set that I have wanted for forever which was at Matt's aunties house when we arrived.
Cost: £65
I went a bit mad in Bath and Body Works! (oops). I purchased three mini candles, 2x homemade cookies, 1x frosted cupcake, 2 4oz candles, 1x homemade cookies (can you tell its my favourite scent?) 1x hot chocolate. 10x hand sanitizers, 3x brownie, 7x cookie (best scents ever) sanitizer cover.
Cost: $36.98
In Sephora I think I spent a small fortune! I picked up some brush wipes, OPI quick dry spray, Clinique concealer, Clinique 3 step acne solutions. I got caught by the benefit 'One Prime Day' mini's whilst in the queue. I can get all the clinique stuff here but its so much cheaper in America!
Cost: $80.50
From Forever 21 I found a new bag for college! I also got a cream cardigan and a woolly hat but I forgot to include them in the picture! (sorry)
Cost for all three items: $60.10
From American Eagle I finally got some moccasins! I have wanted some for ages but never found any until then. Comfiest shoes ever!
Cost: $34.50
My lovely boyfriend got me a pack of three sets of earrings and a beauty of a bracelet! I am unsure of the price of those.
We went to Target! I got the new Seventeen magazine, A covergirl mascara and a Covergirl lipstain. Love them!
Finally, The most comfortable things in the world. Victoria Secret Yoga Pants, legging style. I Love these! The little band at the top just adds a little something to the normal legging style. On the back it says 'LOVE PINK' I wish I had picked up another pair!
If you wanted to know anything else or have any questions then please let me know!

Britain's Best Blogger (Desire Clothing Competition)
The item I have chosen from the Desire website is the ‘Navy Spot Print Playsuit.’ I feel like this is an item that you could rock in the summer with gladiator sandals, beachy waves and some sunnies but also carry through to autumn with belt synching the waist, some thick black tights, ankle booties and a thick knit cardigan. I love that the top and the shorts are different pattern styles because it looks like a cute two piece outfit that you’ve taken a long time putting together when really it’s a cute one piece that you have pulled from your wardrobe easily, found some pretty accessories and created an effortless outfit. This is definitely an item I would purchase for the tail end of autumn as I’ve missed those two weeks of English summer. Very cute playsuit, a must have for all!
What would you pick?

Barry M 'Foil' polish! CNL + Review
Yesterday I went to Superdrug and picked up the two 'foil' polishes from the Barry M collection. I had a few people say that they wanted to see what they look like on and my nail varnish needed changing so I figured I would try out the newbies. Yes, both of them.
Another nail related product I wanted to mention was the Sally Hansen moisturising nail polish remover for dry and brittle nails (mine). This is probably the best polish remover I have ever used. One thing I like most about this is the fact it doesn't have an overpowering smell that gives you a headache. It also really does moisturise the nails, they didn't feel dry after I used it. It also contains Aloe Vera which soothes them. Yay!
Have you tried out the 'Foil' range yet? What Did you think? Will you be trying them now?
XX
I have been waiting for Barry M to release this range of polishes for a while and I LOVE these! I found that they apply so easily and have a thick consistency, they also dry quite quickly which is a bonus. The picture above is after just one coat, ONE! and it looks perfectly fine, no streaks just a lovely colour payback. If any of you were umm-ing and ahh-ing about getting these polishes, DO IT! Go ahead! They are £3.99 which is bargainous for a nail effect polish plus its 3 for 2 in superdrug so you could get both of them and another one for Free! I think these are a lot better than the top shop version of the 'foil' range.

Superdrug 3 for 2!
Superdrug are doing their 3 for 2 event across all cosmetics! Every time there is a 3 for 2 event on in Superdrug or Boots I feel the need to go out and buy make up, even if I don't need it, convincing myself its for blogging purposes of course!(?) They are also doing a 3 for 2 on their Christmas gift sets as well I believe. Here is what I picked up today:
I restrained my self to only 6 items, this little lot cost me £20. I picked up three lip products, 2 Barry M instant nail effects and the NYC HD mascara. I decided to pick up both of the new Barry M "Foil" colours in Gold and Silver because I love a bit of sparkle and I think they are quite Christmassy! I looked at the NYC HD mascara and noticed that the brush on it is the same style as that on the covergirl mascara wands which I love so I felt the need to get it and try it out to see how HD it really is.
I picked up three new lip colours. The first is a collection 2000 long wear lipstick in number 15, Birthday suit, which is a really pale nudey pink which could be paired with any pale pink gloss to create a really cute lip colour. The next is a Rimmel Vinyl Gloss, this is the fourth one I've purchased because I love them! The one I picked up today was number 640, Red Ginger, which is a lovely red colour with a slight glittery shimmer in it which just screams Christmas to me! The last lip colour I picked up was a Kate Moss for Rimmel London lipstick in 05 which is a really nice berry pink colour. I'm looking forward to trying all these products out, hopefully I will love them all.
So ladies, its time to get down to your local Superdrug and pick up some goodies for yourself or some Christmas presents for your friends and family!

One step forward, Two steps back.
In September my parents were accepted as part of the adoption agency and had been given a place on the preparation course in November. A few weeks later they were sent a massive form that they needed to fill in. It included personal details, a chronological list of all the schools my parents went to, even when they were like 4, a chronological list of every address they had ever lived at and so much more. Some of the information they ask for makes you think “Why on earth do they need to know that!?” but if they do, you have to supply it. It must have been about 25 pages long, maybe more! It took about a week for my parents to complete the form and get it sent off. Everything was positively moving forward with that and conformation of a place on the preparation classes later on this month.
Unfortunately, The preparation classes were cancelled! It’s safe to all of us were completely gutted. It was cancelled because there wasn’t enough people to attend. Ridiculous. This week is National Adoption Week and the government are currently trying to work out a way to make the adoption process shorter. Cancelling preparation classes because there aren’t enough people to attend is no way of helping to make the process shorter. Who cares if the people taking the course aren’t getting paid as much for teaching a smaller class, if people are ready to take the course they should be allowed to. It’s not so much about parents being able to adopt, it’s about those thousands and thousands of children in care waiting for that loving family to give them a better life. We will now have to wait until late January early February for the next lot of preparation classes. I’m hoping that this Christmas will be our last Christmas as just me, my mum and dad. Maybe next year there will be four of us. Hopefully.

October Favourites!
This months favourites are: Rimmel match perfection gel foundation, Covergirl lash blast length mascara, Extra dessert delights mint choc chip chewing gum, Bath and bodyworks cookie candle, Safehaven book.
I've been quite organised this month and actually managed to get my favourites up before the end of the first week of the month! (go me) So this month I have a random collection of favourites.
My first favourite is the Rimmel London Match Perfection gel foundation, I just recently switched back from the liquid to the gel foundation as the gel gives a lot more coverage then the liquid and applies a lot easier. The next make up item in my favourites is the covergirl lash blast length mascara, everyone loved it like last year but I've only just got round to using it and i really like it. The brush is plastic and at first it feels like you aren't actually applying any product but then its like BAM! your eyelashes look amazing! If only covergirl was available in the UK. A bit of a random one but I found some of the Extra dessert delights chewing gum when I was in Chicago, I chose the mint chocolate chip one and it is so good! It really tastes like the ice cream and I feel like the taste lasts a lot longer than normal gum. I'm trying to make it last for as long as I can because, unless I'm wrong, you can't get it here! When I took my first trip into bath and body works in California in July I picked out three candles and home baked cookies is my favourite scent EVER! It makes my room smell like a bakery, When I was in Chicago I topped up on all things cookie smelling. Yum! You can't really see them properly but on top of the candle there are my new favourite earrings that my lovely boyfriend got me whilst we are away, they are sparkly hearts! My last favourite this month is a book. Safehaven by Nicholas Sparks is amazing, I'm literally gripped to it. I really love Nicholas Sparks' books because he writes so well.
That is my October favourites! If you would like any reviews or if you have any questions on the products then please feel free to ask.
