Colour B4 - Review!

I did the unthinkable the other day, I dyed my hair and absolutely hated it. It was a "deep red" colour that looked more purple than red and was too dark for my liking so I went into panic mode. I knew my boyfriend would hate it so I just had to get rid of it somehow before he got rid of me! (That probably would happen before you all get all "overreaction of the century!" on me haha) Anyway, back to the point of this post.. I trawled through the boots website looking for something that would sort out my dodgy hair situation. I came across the 'Colour B4' colour remover. Little warning, DO NOT use a colour STRIPPER unless you want bleached blonde hair! (I didn't do this but just don't do it!)
Like your typical hair dye you have to mix the solution together using the remover (b) and the activator (a) in bottle B and shaking them up for 30 seconds. After that you need to generously apply the solution all over your hair, concentrating on your roots/ top of your head, if like me you end up with more colour on top then on the bottom (lame). You let the solution sit in your hair for 30 minutes before rinsing it off for 5-7 minutes depending on the length of your hair. The proper removal stage comes from the 'Buffering' treatment (c) which you apply like shampoo, leave on for a minute then rinse for a further 5 minutes before applying again and rinsing off just like a standard shampoo. Then towel dry.
The results, they were interesting.. It claims to remove the colour back to your natural hair colour at its lightest. Now, I'm pretty sure I never had a ginger tinge to my hair before so I would advise buying a semi permanent hair dye in your or as close to your natural hair colour as possible just to get you back to normal as soon as possible!
I would recommend this to anyone with a hair emergency, or you could just not dye your hair and hate it!

  2. what brand of dye did you use? I dyed my hair like 1 week ago with the L'Oreal mousse one and it looked just like it said it would...you should try that one if you still want to dye your hair :)

  3. I've considered this before, but worried what it'd do to my natural colour! Still a good idea for emergencies!

  6. How long before you can use dye again after using Colour B4? I have dark hair from years of using darkest brown, and I've gone guite grey too. So i want to use colourB4 to strip the dark brown and then use a lighter brown, just so that the grey roots don't show so soon and so visibly. tx
