Fitness Friday! My Finspiration!

FINSPIRATION: Fit person who inspires me to get fit.

Jodie Marsh hasn't exactly had the best publicity across her career and like everyone she has made some mistakes but making the decision to become a body builder was probably the best one ever. Jodie Marsh is my all time Finspiration, I mean look at her, she is freaking HOT. Yes, I said it, Jodie Marsh is HOT!
Looking at pictures of her makes me want to train my arse off (hardcore) to even attempt to look as amazing as she does. She is pretty well proportioned with perfectly sculpted arms, amazing legs and a killer core. I want, I want, I WANT!!
I first got behind Jodie when I watched the shows following her body building and since then have just been in awe of her dedication and pay off.
I wish I could actually get to this incredible state before Mexico in just 9 weeks time but some how I think that may be impossible.
Someone go and get me some joggers and a sports bra, it's a start right?

Who's you're Finspiration?

Water Bobble

The taste of tap water isn't always great and the cost of buying bottled water soon adds up. Enter the water bobble, an absolutely genius invention by bobble. The water bobble is a basic plastic bottle with a filter attached to the screwed on bottle cap, you can fill the bottle with normal tap water and drink out if it like a normal bottle, however instead of getting the nasty taste of tap water the filter at the top takes out all the nasty stuff and only delivers the nice fresh tasting water to your mouth and it does all this while you drink! Clever little thing.
The bobble is available in two sizes 550ml and 1 litre, both for the cost of around £8 - £10, from amazon, John lewis and boots. The filters claim to give you up to 300 bottles of water for just £5 - £6 which is an absolute bargain if you think about it as being just a one off payment of £16 and you are set for 300 bottles.

Gym goers, you need this.
People who drink water, you really need this!

Fitness Friday - Workout of the Week

If anyone is confused by the whole Fitness Friday/Mexico Monday on a Friday thing then see HERE for an explanation.

For my first Mexico Monday inspired Fitness Friday post I am going to be telling you about my favourite workout Josh and I completed this week.
This workout comes from Monday mornings pre breakfast Cardio session. The aim was to burn around 300 calories on the cross trainer, however, after about 5 minutes in we both needed a wee, our new target was 150 before a toilet stop. After the quick stop josh suggested we do a circuit to finish off instead of getting back on the cross trainer so this is what we did:

Skipping with 10 double unders
(the skipping rope spins twice in one jump)
or 30 seconds of normal skipping

FOLLOWED BY

15 Kettlebell Swings
(chose a sensible weight, nothing to heavy. Dip into squat position and swing kettlebell above your head keeping your arms straight)

FOLLOWED BY

30 Second Plank
(lay flat on the ground, push yourself up off of the ground slightly leaning on forearms and toes, keep legs and body suspended straight behind you, hold abs tight to keep you stable)

FOLLOWED BY

15 Crunches using ab machine
(Hold body suspended on handles and pull legs up using abs)
or 15 sit ups

30 Second Rest
Repeat 3 times

Let me know if you try this out at home or in the gym and tell me how you found it!

Haliborange disolvable Vitamin C tablets (20) - £3.69 -Link!
Maxiraw WPI Intensity Chocolate orange flavour - £39.99 - Link!
Reflex Nexgen+ (90 Capsuals) - £14.99 - Link!
ON Amin.o. Energy BCAAs - £25.99 - Link!
Grenade Thermo Detonator fat burner - £27.99 - Link!

Small disclaimer, I am new to the fitness scene and am in no way trying to pretend I'm a professional because I'm not. This is just my views on the subject with a little help from my smart cookie and fitness friday co-writer of a boyfriend!
Supplements are of course an important part of a fitness diet, each individual product has it's own way of improving performance, recovery and overall health.
The supplements included in this post are the ones I use on a typical day, consisting of a cardio session in the morning and a weights session in the afternoon.

In the morning before we head to the gym for our cardio session I take 1 grenade fat burner with one scoop of liquid BCAAs in a glass of water. The grenades are the best way to get that coffee like energy kick to prepare you for your session whilst raising your metabolism to help you burn more fat during the session. As I do morning cardio pre breakfast on an empty stomach BCAAs help to prevent muscle breakdown as my body has no fuel to run on.
Breakfast is accompanied by a glass of water and a dissolvable vitamin C tablet, 1 multi vitamin and 2 omega 3, I do the same thing with my dinner too minus the vitamin C. The vitamin C does a good job of perking you up if you feel like you're coming down with those horrible colds, giving your immune system a little boost. The Multi vitamin and omegas are just essential vitamins to help your body do its thing, I have found since taking those daily my skin has cleared up massively and I have felt a lot better in myself.
Pre and Post workout I mix up 1 scoop of Maxiraw WPI with about 150ml of water. I am not a massive fan of the taste but I'm sort of at the stage now where I can just down it and get it over and done with nice and quick. The protein is perfect for supplying your body with the energy and fuel it needs to aid you through the workout as well as feed your muscles after you have finished in the gym.

I know this isn't amazingly detailed but I'm still learning too! If anyone has any questions then leave them below and I will consult my very knowledgeable boyfriend if I don't know the answer!
& Josh.

Fitness Friday: A Day In The Life of a Gym Bunny!

Itscharr is venturing to new places! I am now going to be posting a little bit about health and fitness as its something I've gotten into a lot more recently all thanks to my man! I am actually really enjoying working out and eating healthy these days so look out for more posts along these lines very soon!
For now, here is how a typical day in the life of a beauty blogger turned fitness freak goes..

5:30am - We are awake! getting up at this time is hard but once I'm up its off to the gym for a pre breakfast cardio and abs session before a 10 minute relax in the sauna.
6:30am/6:45am - Back home and ready to eat. Right now breakfast is in the form of pancakes made from between 4 and 6 eggs, 40g of ground oats and a teaspoon of flaxseed served up with some pineapple slices, yum! Food prep for the day is usually occurring around this time too.
8am - Off to work we go for 9 hours!
10:30am/11am - Mid morning snack time. This usually consists of 25g of almonds or some brown toast and peanut butter.
1pm/2pm - Lunch time! A meal of lean meat covered in nandos sauce, 100g of green veg and sweet potato. That fills me up for agesssss.
4pm(ish) - Pre workout. Time for a nasty protein shake and some brown toast so I've got enough to keep me going through an intense weights workout.
5pm - Back to the gym to kick some butt!
6pm - Home again for a post workout, protein shake and pop tarts or haribo anyone?
7:30pm - Dinner time, my favourite is sweet potato shepherds pie with peppers and mushrooms, delicious!
9pm/9:30pm - Late night snacking. 3 rice cakes, a handful of blueberries and some dark chocolate. I hate dark chocolate.
10:30(ish) - I am out like a light.. Zzz..

I feel like I should of done this in Vlog form, maybe another day!
Hope you enjoyed this slightly different type of post
